Welcome to our Gallery – a visual celebration of the work we do and the lives we impact through our dual mission of raising breast cancer awareness and supporting the homeless community.
This month, we hosted a special Breast Cancer Awareness & Community Support Day in Bayview, focused on raising awareness about breast cancer while providing essential resources to nearly 200 low-income, impoverished, and disabled community members.
The event included a prayer circle for those affected by cancer, along with motivational speakers who shared inspiring stories of hope and resilience. Guests were served nourishing meals, with food bowls labeled with information on local homeless shelters and free cancer treatment and screening options. We also set up a resource table offering free hand-crocheted hats, pamphlets, and contact information for cancer services and shelter resources.
A highlight of the day was the visit from the current San Francisco Sheriff, who stopped by to show his support for the cause and the community. At the close of the event, we made sure that no one was left out, hand-delivering leftover meal kits—chili, rice, and cornbread—to a dozen wheelchair-bound homeless individuals who couldn’t attend, ensuring they, too, received a warm meal.
Your Support Makes a Difference!
By donating or volunteering your time, you help make events like this possible, providing critical resources, raising awareness, and bringing hope to those who need it most. Together, we can continue to make an impact and ensure that no one faces cancer or homelessness alone.
